Tax credits: a quarter of a million pounds for local residents

Brent CAB’s tax credit take-up campaign has delivered an estimated total of £255,039 in new and revised claims. This is an outcome of £25 for every pound put into this campaign by HM Customs and Revenue.

Brent CAB Director Jacqueline Carr said: “Tax credits can make a big difference for local people. Brent CAB is working hard to help Brent residents to manage their claims and deal with any problems they may encounter with this overly complicated benefit.”

Brent CAB will continue helping with completing new claims and renewal forms, and give advice about what to do if there is an overpayment. Tax credit advice is available at the main bureau 270-272 High Road, Willesden, London NW10 2EY and in all Children’s Centres in Brent.
